Today is April’s birthday party day. She is having four friends over for a sleepover. It’s a Tropical Theme, complete with grass skirts, coconut drink cups with Umbrella Straws and Surf music (the surf music was my idea).

Check this out, my favorite show, Extreme Makeover Home Edition, is shooting in Livermore this week starting tomorrow. You can read the details about the family they chose for the show here: ContraCosta Times, TriValley Herald and Oakland Tribune. Stay tuned for more updates, I am hoping to get out to the site for a lookyloo, armed with my camera of course!
Did you know that its TV Turnoff Week? Check out the TV Turnoff Network web site for more information.

Great news! I have to call back tomorrow after five P.M. Stay tuned for more blogging adventures while we explore the Stockton Superior Court.
The clouds were extreme this weekend, I love cloud action like this. There was distant thunder on Saturday. I washed my cars of course and then it rained today, good.

Hey! Check out Carl’s demo’s. I like um, he is looking for some interested people to really do these songs justice. -dp
I posted the Disneyland pics, they can be found here.
I cannot believe that its Sunday already. Let me get caught up. We left LA Wednesday at around noon after having a quick swim. April had a brand new suit bought just for the trip and was dying to try it out. She even made a little friend in the pool and just had a big smile on her face. It still took us about seven hours to get back to the Bay Area.
There was a truck that had caught fire and closed the freeway just outside of Los Angeles that we crawled through for more than an hour. Anyway we made it home that evening and the Veronica and her troupe showed up a few hours later. The next day we returned the rental and picked up the ‘burby from the shop and I headed back to work, boo hoo!
Friday came and it was April’s Birthday!! We went to Amores. We got April a Gameboy Advance SP, she likes it. Her Nana gave her a bunch of great clothes too, she was really suprised and happy. Saturday we went shopping for a new game for April’s GB and I got parts for the truck. It turns out I haven’t changed the oil for 14, 000 miles, oh good! I need to get it running good for a smog check that is overdue. I managed to change the oil and wash both vehicles this weekend. These things are harder that you might think with a two-year-old in the house. Lisa and I are both scrambling for time to get stuff done while the other is keeping the baby happy. Veronica really helped today, so much that when Marina awoke from her nap she was calling for her big sister, “vra, vra” and was pretty sad to see old dad, but she got over it.
Lisa and the girls shopped for Aprils big party next weekend. She is having a few friends over for her first slumber party. She was really sad last year when we wouldn’t let her have a sleep-over party and we had promised (apparently) that this year she could have the big party for her Birthday. They are going for a Tropical Theme -grass skirts, flower shirts, moi-moi, etc. I will be providing the music, finally and excuse to break out the the Hawaiian music! (YES!)
Today Marina tried on the ‘Bulls-Eye the horse’ costume for the first time (with Veronica’s help!) here she is:

Today was jam packed with fun! We started early, had breakfast and made it to the park by 8:00am. Veronica’s troop were set to have their bridging ceremony first thing on the bridge to the right of the castle. This is where Snow White hangs out and I was able to meet her. She was nice
. After that April and I rode the Matterhorn Bobsleds then we headed for “It’s a Small World” which was sweet. We then packed in what we could as the park got really packed with people and their kids. Later that night, Lisa and April went back after a brief break for dinner and stayed until the park closed (12:00am) they were able to ride everything with no waits, April and Lisa had a blast, running from ride to ride and getting right on. BTW, the ride soaring Over California was super cool, we both got emotional, we felt like angels!

Landed in the Anaheim “resort” town this afternoon after around seven hours of traveling to Los Angeles, the last two being stuck in traffic here in the greater Los Angeles area. We drove really but it was like flying. The truck ran really great, the cruise was locked at 85 pretty much most of the time except for the last two hours (see above). And even at that speed I was still being past by other drivers, its the wild west out there on Interstate five, especially the area from Newman south through Bakersfield. Anyway the main attraction of this resort town and the main purpose of our being here is of course Disneyland. We spent the late afternoon and into the evening in the new California Adventures part of Disneyland. It’s pretty neat. Took a few night shots including this one:

OK, we are on our way. See you in Disneyland!!!

So it seems that the warranty will cover most, if not all, the required repairs (water pump, intake gasket, hoses and crap). And. I got a cheap rental, which turned out to work in my favor when at the last minute an ‘04 F-150 Quad-cab became available. Enterprise Rent-A-Car baby, me very happy. Unlimited mileage. Drive to LA in style. The 2004 F-150’s are really nice. I would love to own one, now I get one for 4 days, cool!

I finally got around to taking a hard look at the family wagon before venturing out into the wild west (Interstate 5). Woke up early, well early for a Saturday, drove to my friendly Kragen Auto Supply and secured the items needed for an at-home oil change. Upon finishing the task, I noticed it. One tiny droplet of coolant and a very small little puddle. Eleven A.M. on a Saturday morning. The Saturday before Easter Holiday. The very Saturday before the Monday that we are to leave for Los Angeles, good.

Today I spent three hours in a dentist chair, three shots of novacaine, vivid grinding, it was super. Then on the way home I drove by my childhood home, that felt weird too.
