I saw this on BoingBoing, freaky looking cow!

…in the hallway of my building at work. Then, just now, I found a dime outside on the ground. At this rate I will be rich in no time.
Jim Scott just told me about this…
The drummer for Crowded House, Paul Hester, has died. Hung himself from a tree poor fella, RIP brother. Link (LA Times)

Remember Avengers? Penelope Houston? Oh Yea, Me too! I saw Avengers at Winterland, they opened for The Sex Pistols, dang I am getting old, that was like 27 years ago. Punk Rock, woohoo! Anyway I am listening to Avengers, C.D. Presents LTD on red vinyl. Great record, check out Penelope’s web site, she is in Berkeley and still playing music it seems. Way to go Penelope, hope all is good your way!

I’ll tell you one thing for sure: my water damage and noisy fans and my sleeping in the trailer sure seem like small potatoes when I follow blogs like my new favorite lunch-time reading “Sic Vis Pacem, Para Bellum” a blog written by an Officer in the Army serving in Iraq. The posts are powerfull and the pictures even more so, god bless you man, good luck over there, come home safe. -dp
Great night in the RV! I even fired up the heater in the trailer (never used it prior). It’s a propane feed, forced-air full-on heater. The trailer even has ducting and little heater vents. Just set the thermostat to a comfy 70 degrees and we were toasty all night. I say we cause Veronica and April crashed out there with me, pretty fun! And QUIET!!
OK, so now they say the fans have to run till Saturday morning and the wall has to be ripped open cause there is still moisture in there and so on we go. We got the trailer out of storage today. I am looking forward to a quiet nite sleep, thank god.

Last night was an “All-District” concert featuring all Tracy Schools’ Music Prgrams doing a concert over at West High. Veronica was on Strings (Violin) from Williams. It was Awsome, something like 500 kids playing or singing. Everyone sounded so good!

The Modesto Bee is reporting damage and flooding in the area due to the storm that is leaking into my house.
“Up to an inch of rain per hour was falling in parts of Modesto, Turlock and Oakdale, prompting an urban and small streams flood advisory by the National Weather Service.”
It turns out there are five fans not three. The fan not pictured is the REALLY LOUD one pumping air into the wall. Last night was like hell, no sleep, just noise. They will be out tomorrow to to see if they can remove the loudest fan, but the rain is still coming down and the roof still leaks…
Actually it blows…

So it has been raining like hell last few days and now the roof is leaking. It’s leaking bad too. So bad that we called our homeowners insurance and they sent out some dude who found water in the wall and under my new floor and around the window. Sigh. So this water-damage dude has three fans running to blow air into the wall and remove water and moisture. THREE FANS!! Three very LOUD fans that need to run for a “few days, day and night” This is so wonderful. He says he will be back on Saturday. It’s only Tuesday. I’m sure it will be great trying to sleep tonight. I think I’m gonna move to a motel or sumpthin. Dangit!
Well we mostly had rain this weekend, here are Veronica and Marina checking out a down-pour that we had on Saturday morning, it was raining hard! (for a few minutes anyway)

Lisa has a corned beef slow cooking in a crock-pot and I have some Guinness Stout warming in the garage, woohoo! Hope everyone has a fun day, be sure to drink lots of green beer!

Here she is, the rabbit, Frixy, I’m mean Trixy!

Lisa came home with one more mouth to feed today. Her name is Roxy, er, or uh, Trixy. She is Three months old. The dog thinks she is groovy, forgetting all about the cat.
