Today we took a drive to Columbia for a look around. Here is Marina taking a break and having a grape. She was a trooper, it was really hot out there, 107 in Oakdale!

Here is Jim demonstrating his skill with a tape measure. We had a mad day record hunting. Today it was Replay in Manteca. I got a nice Allman Brothers – Eat A Peach. Sweet.

We had a pretty big grass fire near the Altamont Pass between Tracy and Livermore. It was hot and dry up there and it was burning fast. This was from Patterson Pass Road, close to Tracy, very near I-5.

You grew up way too fast
And now there’s nothing to believe
And reruns all become our history
A tired song keeps playing on a tired radio
And I won’t tell no one your name
And I won’t tell em your name
I think about you all the time But I don’t need the same
It’s lonely where you are come back down
And I won’t tell em your name
Veronica has been waiting all summer for this day, the new Harry Potter, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, has hit the streets. B&N was open last night at midnight selling the book, but I couldn’t talk her into going. Today we got her a copy and she is already about half-way finished with it! Here she is reluctantly posing for dad with her new book.
**UPDATE SUNDAY: Veronica just finished the book, says she liked it! That means I get to read it. I should have it done in a couple months, I’ll let you know how I like it! hehe

Today we were in Livermore for the Alden Lane Nursery Art Under the Oaks. There was some great art, a little music, some wine and lot’s of plants and things. Here is a Flickr Set of some of the cool art we saw, Alden Lane is a really neat place, we had some good fun.

Veronica shot this one. What a cool dog, too cool for words!

Here is a balloon lifting off from Lincoln Park here in Tracy. Lisa, Veronica, Marina and I all got up early and made down to the park to watch these guys take off. It was great to get out early and is always fun to see these guys take off.

That’s my mom on the left. We are down at Alta Pool which used to be a fun 4th Of July Party. I was helping sell Hot Dogs and Soda’s. Fifty-Cents each! My dad would hook me up with firecrackers and off I would go into the night. Interesting note: There was a band playing on the tennis courts doing Creedence covers. “Down on the corner…out in the street” I was like coooool.

Got a sweet double album, the best of Alfred Apaka on Decca. Nice, chillin’ me right as I type. The Newcastle Ale is helping too. Happy Friday before the forth-of-july people!

Here is April boarding the bus for camp. It’s just not the same around here without her. Hope you are ok and having fun baby, good hunting!

Here is a 124llb catfish caught in the Mississippi river back in May, sweet!
