The Tracy Press is reporting that Tracy hit 114 yesterday! I don’t doubt that for one minute. Lisa picked me up from the train station Friday night and the thermometer read 112 and all day Saturday it was well above 110 in my backyard, it’s just horrible I tell you! Even at midnight Saturday it was still well over 95 degrees and the next morning it had only cooled to about 87 and quickly went back up as the sun rose. Whew! We are lying low and staying indoors mostly. The air quality is also really bad so its good to stay inside anyway. So there you have it, hot and sticky and yucky. They say it should cool down as the week progresses, I sure hope so. Mid to upper 90’s sound really refreshing right now! -dp

Footprints In The Sand One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord. Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky. In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were two sets of footprints, other times there were one set of footprints. This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints. So I said to the Lord, “You promised me Lord, that if I followed you, you would walk with me always. But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life there have only been one set of footprints in the sand. Why, when I needed you most, you have not been there for me?” The Lord replied, “The times when you have seen only one set of footprints in the sand, is when I carried you.” – Mary Stevenson

Fuckin’ Zeppelin Dude! Robert Plant and his band was on Soundstage (PBS) Saturday night. It was killer, his band, the Strange Sensation, is packed with talent man, they really kicked ass!
