Veronica piano recital!

Veronica!

Today was a big day for our family musically. It all started in the morning with Veronica’s winter recital and ended with our winter concert for the Tracy Community Choir that Lisa, April and I are a part of. Here is Veronica playing Dance Of The Sugarplum Fairy.  She is a wonderful piano player and played this piece so well. And she sounded so great on this grand inside a local church where the recital was held. We are so proud of you Veronica, you are a talented young lady, keep up the hard work!

A picture of April that is on flickr is being used for a book cover! The picture was taken a few halloweens ago and is being used with my permission under a Creative Commons license. April got a kick out of it and just giggled, I am stoked to see my work actually being used somewhere.

Here is a link to the author web site and here is the book on Amazon.

Here is the original on Flickr.

Today is my birthday, I turned 47. Fourty-seven. I remember like yesterday being 27. Time flys kids, cherish everyday, it could be your last. I had a nice relaxing day doing very little. I took a long nap in the afternoon and hung out with the kids. This morning Marina and I stayed in bed and watched wacky YouTube videos of funny animals and the read the comics while Lisa and the girls were getting me a doughnut and some coffee. Thanks guys for all the food and presents (I was kept well fed today!) I really appreciate it!

Gifts From Veronica!

From April

We had a really nice time last night at the Tracy Community Choir Christmas Gala, thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make it happen. It was clear to me that many people put in many hours. The food was really great BTW, the tri-tip melted in my mouth. I was a little disapointed with my pictures, I should have brought the DSLR and got a little more into it, oh well. Here are a couple that turned out, Lisa may have a few too, she was capturing some action also, thanks again everybody!
